Please ensure you make requests for prescriptions a few days before your medication runs out.

  • Repeat prescription requests left before 12.30pm will be ready for collection after 5.00 pm the same day.
  • Prescription requests left after 12.30pm will be ready after 5.00 pm the following day.
  • Requests left on a Friday afternoon will be ready after 5.00 pm the following Monday.

Any requests for additional items, which are not on repeat, have to be authorised by the doctor.  These prescriptions may take two working days to be issued or may not be available without an appointment.  In order to eliminate mistakes prescriptions may not be requested over the telephone but can be made via your patient online service https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com or by dropping requests on paper to the practice.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) sends your prescription electronically direct to your preferred pharmacy.  Complete this form to let us know which Pharmacy you would like us to send your prescription to.

Let the Receptionist/Prescription Clerk know you would like to have your medication managed by the Practice (batched).  The Practice Pharmacist/or a GP will then see if we can pre-authorise some, or all of your medication, for up to a year – you then only need to go to your preferred pharmacy to collect it as instructed.

If you have a question about your medication:

  • Use E-Consult and you will be directed to the appropriate support
  • Ask your local pharmacy
  • Phone the Surgery and speak to a Patient Advisor or book a call back with the Advanced Clinical Pharmacist

If you are concerned about, or suffering from, medication side effects:

  • Use e-Consult and you will be directed to the appropriate support
  • Ask your local pharmacy
  • Phone the Surgery and speak to a Patient Advisor or book a call back with the Advanced Clinical Pharmacist

If your medicine is out of date, unwanted, or some of it is left over after you have stopped taking it, don’t put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet. Instead, take it to your local pharmacy to be disposed of safely.
