If you are on regular medication you may be able to obtain repeat prescriptions without having to see the doctor every time. Repeat prescriptions may be requested by:

– Bringing your repeat prescription slip to the surgery.
– Ordering your repeat prescriptions online using the practice’s SystmOnline that you can sign up to when visiting the practice.
– Ordering your repeat prescriptions via the e-consult system, available from the link on the first page of this website.
– If you visit your usual pharmacy they should be able to request a prescription from us.

Please note that we do not accept repeat requests over the telephone or via email

As demand for prescriptions is always high, please allow five working days to process your prescription to the pharmacist. The pharmacist will normally require two more working days to prepare your prescription.

Please do not leave your prescription requests to the last minute. Urgent prescription requests reduce the doctors availability for appointments and this then impacts on other patients.

Repeat prescriptions are regularly monitored, you may be asked to make an appointment for a medication review.

Please do not leave your prescription requests to the last minute. It can take up to 5 working days from request to collection from your nominated pharmacy.

Please contact your Practice back at home – because they have your medication and health record they are best placed to help you for safety reasons.  Your home Practice should be able to fax, or send a prescription electronically, to a pharmacy local to where you are staying.

If you are a student home for the holidays (between terms or between years), please contact your GP practice back at college to request repeat prescriptions, they will be able to send your prescription electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. If you have graduated and are returning to the Island, you will need to register.
